I wrapped up my trip around 17 Mile Drive in Monterey, CA by stopping at the famed Pebble Beach and the 18th green. I got chills walking out and seeing the place where history has been made over the years, whether it is Arnold, or Tiger, or those yet to come.

While I was in Monterey, CA I took a spin around 17 Mile Drive with my Nikon and felt like I couldn’t take a bad shot. Here is one at Cypress Point, not of the Lone Cypress but of a tree near the shoreline. Loved the composition here.

The nephew and I made a Chocolate Guinness Cake for St. Patrick’s Day, from scratch. I’ll admit the cake was quite good, and even better on the second day. I don’t know if that was because of the melding of flavors, or due to us working on all the leftover Guinness. I’ll let you decide.

Week 11 saw the arrival of Spring in these parts. Here, a rosebud started blooming. Unfortunately I missed the blooming of the pear trees, which can rival the blossoming of cherry trees in other parts. Oh well, this will have to do for this year.
